Dental X-ray

Dental x-rays are the foundation of accurate dental and orthodontic diagnosis, and dental x-rays help dentists and orthodontists to effectively diagnose, treat teeth and malocclusion.

X-ray laboratory at Promedica

X-rays, which we take in Promedica's X-ray laboratory, are the foundation of precise diagnostics and effective dental treatment. Thanks to them, the doctor can see what is invisible to the naked eye - tooth roots, surrounding tissues or hidden lesions. In many cases, without such an examination, further treatment would simply not be possible.

From the patient's perspective, it is most convenient if the X-ray can be taken quickly and in the same place as the consultation with the dentist. Our X-ray laboratory is located in the clinic building, which means you save time and convenience - the examination is performed just before your appointment and you receive the result "straight away" on a CD or in electronic form.

In addition to classic point-of-view, pantomographic or cephalometric radiographs, we also offer CBCT scans. It is a state-of-the-art, three-dimensional examination that allows the teeth, bones and soft tissues to be assessed with extreme accuracy. CT is irreplaceable when planning implant treatment, surgical procedures or more difficult endodontic cases. It minimises the risk of complications and allows us to offer the patient the most precise treatment plan.

Types of x-rays Performed in the Promedica Dental Centre

Spot radiographs of the tooth provide a complete picture of the roots of the tooth, including the canals, and allow detection of caries at the proximal surfaces - invisible during the dental examination.

Dental tomography creates a 3D image of a selected area of the skull. The three-dimensional image of the bone structures facilitates the planning of more complex procedures and is essential in implantology, for example.

Lateral X-ray of the skull, most commonly used in orthodontics. The X-ray shows the soft tissues, paranasal sinuses and hard palate, which, for example, facilitates the creation of orthodontic appliances. The cephalometric radiograph is safe for the patient - it transmits a low dose of X-rays.

The pantomographic radiograph is used to assess the health of all teeth and periodontium and to evaluate the course of the tooth roots.

We highly recommend it! Our son associates a visit to Promedica Będzin with great fun! Before we came to Promedica, our son was very afraid of the dentist (he got discouraged in another place and was very scared) and didn't even want to open his mouth. Thanks to the Promedica team, my son is no longer afraid at all. Without any fear, he happily sits on the hotel table and has his teeth treated, and his smile accompanies him throughout the whole visit! We would recommend to anyone who is still wondering at 100%.
